I promise that in the next post I will include pictures of my amazing and wonderful Moshav.
I have grown to instantly love it here and I have been here at Moshav Regba less then 48 hours.
After a nice kabalt panim- face to face meeting with some of our adoptive parents (mine of course were on vacation ) and a nice dinner we were escorted back to the rooms. It is wonderful. We have a really nice kitchenet equipped with a toaster oven, coffee pot, new silverwear and new plates, a new fridge beautiful cabinets (Regba is known for their amazing kitchens). Onlooking the small but wonderful kitchen is a nice sized dinner table for us to have dinner and two cute beds that were ikea inspired-if not made. Our closets are a good sized-thank goodness and Ayelet and I *my roomie* already managed to make a mess of them : )
This morning after unpacking all night we woke up early to go for a run together as a Garin. There wer ea lot of us and only 3 of us girls. I was very impressed with myself for being able to keep up (even though i lagged behind a bunch) with the group for hte most part and we ran to the yam- sea and sprinted on the beach.
I already can tell I am not a fan of running on sand but what a great workout!
after patting myself on the back and taking in the amazing view we headed back where we ate breakfast- an Israeli breakfast includes bread, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, cottage cheese, other cheeses and some milk.
It was wonderful and showered and got ready for our day.
I just now came back from the pool which was very nice and was more like a big big bath tub.
In short after taking a tour today I can see myself living here very nicely and learning to love the people and the place. I can't wait to dig my teeth in and start contributing to the place. I am very nervous about first steps coming up and the ulpan test (which tests my hebrew)
It still does not completely feel real to me but as of now this dream is pretty wonderful and I am not ready to wake up.
.... once basic training starts I am sure I will not feel that way : ) hahah
all in all a lot of hugs , sweaty and hot kisses from my new home. Pictures on the way,
Michali
